Another great Memorial Day Weekend in the books! Started out at little rough but as always we had a great weekend with some of our most favorite friends and family.
When Courtney moved to Houston she promised she would fly home to join the family for the annual camping trip. She kept her word which is a good thing because it wouldn't be the same without her. We picked her up from the airport and the 3 of us + Roxy made the 5 hour drive to Crescent Lake (arriving at midnight on Thursday night). Normally it would only be a 3 1/2 hour drive but the tunnel was closed due to construction so we had to take a round about way to get there. When we finally arrived, it was already snowing and the snow didn't stop. We could hear clumps of snow running down our tent all night. We woke up, still snowing and absolutely beautiful! The snow melted Friday afternoon and the rest of the weekend was actually pretty nice. The sun made an appearance occasionally and the rain stayed away for the most part.
The weekend was filled with lots of food (I was almost scared to weigh in at my Dr.'s appointment the following week!), great company, fishing for the men, games, swimming for the dogs, lots of hikes and walks, endless hours of campfire conversations, and the comfort of being outdoors. Cody got in a little "practice" when Ryan and April showed up with their little man. Beer in one hand and Baby in the other and I would say he passed!
A special Thank You to Jeff, Jeana and Tyler for making the drive from Seattle, Kramer and Rachel for making the drive from Yakima and of course Courtney for making the trip all the way from Texas (I think she takes the cake on this one!).
It's crazy to think that next year, Baby O will be joining the crew!!!
